Honestly, I don’t know how you do it ; your paintings are not only more beautiful, they’re also more real than the photos. You manage to paint what YOU saw but the camera just couldn’t capture. Great.
Yes, well I never want to imitate the photo. It’s just a reminder of the place and the basic composition will probably be used, but, it’s all about what I’m feeling at that moment as I paint it. I don’t want to overthink it either, just react to each brushstroke… do I keep it or paint over it. I’m glad you feel some truth in the painting.
