Anita C. Miller’s recent paintings are mostly large acrylic abstracts that evolve over weeks with unforeseen outcomes. She anticipates including animals more frequently in the paintings to explore the threshold between figuration and abstraction. Other artists who have worked with animals and abstraction are Lee Kang So and Susan Rothenberg.
